We believe the Bible is the true and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the truth in our hands...a tool we use daily to guide us on our faith journey. As Christians, we represent God to the world in all that we do. We exist to save others - to bring others to Him. The world relies on us! We live in a fallen world and must always remember that we are not strong enough on our own - we need God!
We believe in the Apostles' Creed, which is one of the most ancient Christian creeds. This creed is called the Apostles' Creed not because it was produced by the apostles themselves but because it contains a brief summary of their teachings. It sets forth their doctrine "in sublime simplicity, in unsurpassable brevity, in beautiful order, and with liturgical solemnity."
We believe in the Lord's Prayer. There are 6 Steps taught in the Lord’s Prayer.
1. Address God’s rightful place as the Father
2. Worship and praise God for who He is and all that He has done
3. Acknowledge that it is God’s will and plans are in control and not our own
4. Ask God for the things that we need
5. Confess our sins and repent
6. Request protection and help in overcoming sin and Satan's attacks on us
We believe God calls us to live Holy lives - lives set apart from this world. Romans 12:2..."Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
We believe in the Mission of the Global Methodist Church...which is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.
Like it says in a favorite hymn..."I have decided to follow Jesus, I have decided to follow Jesus - no turning back, no turning back"!
