Our Brief History
The history of Risen Chapel may be brief but it is strong!
Before we had a name, Risen Chapel was a vision of a small group of loving, Bible believing servants of God.
Timeline: 2023
March 27: Organizational meeting with GMC representative
April 23: Initial formation meeting deciding on church name and affiliation
May 9: Global Methodist Acceptance
May 12: Legal Formation
July 9: First Sunday morning service at Halle Hall
August 6: Covenant Sunday (Founding members/ Pledges)
September 10: First worship service at Davis Drive Middle School
2024
May 1: Welcomed Pastor Parker Coppock as our first Minister!
September 8: Moved to Green Hope High School
November 17: Held first Charge Conference
Before we even had our first official Sunday morning service, Risen Chapel was up and running with Bible studies for both men and women. We also initiated a Care Ministry early on. In between our legal formation date and our first Sunday morning worship, we met as a church group for potlucks and worship at Bond Park.
